It's a normal day at the Afton household. CC and Liz are fighting, William accidently shot Mrs. Afton in the arm, and Michael is crying in the corner. But things all of a sudden aren't so normal anymore when a set of events leave them to be locked in a room, having to search for clues. Only as though if you find the wrong one, your done. The clues vary from wall writings, to audio files. And there's only one way out.

After they left their father due to his insane possession that was unexplainable to them, The Afton Kids now live with Scott Cawlton, his wife and three sons, where they can start a new life. However, not all of them were able to move on. Elizabeth, being a daddy's girl since birth, had refused to move on until she remembered an old cartoon they all use to watch about an ink demon who she loved. When she hears that the ink demon is real and lives at the studio, she and both her brothers venture to find her nostalgic demon only to realize he is not the same demon like in the cartoons.
