The End of Dunwall

The coup performed by Delilah Copperspoon for control of Dunwall and all of the Isles was stopped by Emily Kaldwin, previous and current Empress of the Isles.
However, before Delilah was killed, Emily used a specially crafted rune to steal Delilah's Mark. After Emily brought Corvo back, she used the rune to both return his Mark to him and amplify the power of both their Marks.
Now, Emily rules as a mad tyrant, consumed by power with Corvo as her Royal Executioner and personal assassin. Dunwall is in chaos, the Overseers at war with Emily and her City Watch while Gangs run rampant in the streets.
Now, a man at the Edge of the World must leave his home and go back to Dunwall to put a stop to Emily and her rule. The Knife of Dunwall will return to Dunwall, and will kill its Empress once again.

Rune is a secret assassin for Queen Eiva, who has sent him on a mission to find out about this upcoming war, threatened by a group called the Pandoreos. He has his own secrets that not even the queen knows, however, Dakota, a wolf who can speak to Erin, can tell he's hiding something. Erin eventually struggles with her feelings toward Rune. When the threat of the Pandoreos worsens, Rune is called back to queen Eiva.
