Two years into WWII, almost all Heritages (legacies born with powerful gifts) are off fighting the war, leaving the underground organisation, responsible for protecting the human race from supernatural dangers, also known as the Archives, vulnerable to the demon creatures, the Oragons.
When the Oragons attack, only three young Heritages remain. Daughter of Beasts, Daughter of Change and Son of Liquid. Without any elders, or other Archives, to help them fight the army of demons, the three teenagers do the unthinkable to keep the Archives - and all of the powerful artefacts, books and weapons - safe. They activate the PORTAL. Scattering the contents of, not only the Kingston Archives but ALL of the Archives in the world, across time and realities. Taking one of their own heritage, and the Oragons along with them.
100 years later, new generations of Heritages work hard to rebuild the Archives, searching for the lost artefacts and battling Oragons. But the oragons are back for round 2, invading the Kingston Archives again.
It's down to 6 strangers, Farley, Draven, Spencer, Alex, Brentworth and Bridget, that meet in detention to save the Archives - though it proves a difficult mission when they are separated across time and reality. Fighting their way back to their world, fighting pirates and Vikings from centuries ago. Surviving ancient Greece and alternate realities where Oragons won WWII.
