Emily is the only daughter of Alpha King Alaric Grayson. She is a princess but not weak. How will she respond when she finds out her mate has been killing werewolves world wide? Can she deal with his demons? Will they accept each other as mates? Story excerpt "Titan!" Dad yells at him. Titan... it's a strong name but it doesn't feel quite right. He jumps up and pulls me into his chest. "Let her go boy." Dad says and I can feel his growl shake my chest as he holds me tight. "Mine!" Titan growls dipping his head to my neck and breathing deeply. "Come on Meme." Dad says holding his hand out to me. He looks worried. Will Titan hurt me? I thought mates couldn't hurt each other? Titan pulls me tighter to him. "Titan! Let her go! You're hurting her!" As soon as dad says that I feel Titan loosen his grip slightly. I turn so that I can look up at him and place my hand on his face forcing him to focus on me instead of my dad. When he finally looks in my eyes he seems worried. "I'm ok." I whisper trying to calm him... "you can let me go." He growls again and seems to panic at the thought of losing me. "Mine!" Titan says. Dad tries to reach for me. When Titan sees his movement he pulls me away from my dad and growls again "Mine!" He says desperately trying to keep me close to him. "He's my dad, Titan... he won't hurt me." I try to soothe the beast. I don't really want to let him go but I know if this goes on much longer Titan will get hurt. "Mine!" He growls softly, nuzzling his nose into my neck. "Yours." I whisper pulling away so I can hold his face. "But I need to go to my dad right now... please Titan." I beg him. He looks over to my dad who is still holding out his hand expectantly then looks back to me. With a nod he let's me go and I take my dad's hand. "Take him!" Dad commands as he pulls me away. Many men tackle Titan to the ground.

As I leave, the cold British wind greets me. I zip up my sweater, and start walking home. Thanks to my parents, I don't have a car. "You're too irresponsible for a car, Courtney. You can always save up for one once you leave this house," my father had scoffed when I asked him. I walk at a fast pace, hoping to avoid any random strangers lurking in the dark streets. "Hey, darling. What are you doing all alone in the dark?" I hear a voice ask. I pick up his deep, British accent. I ignore him, and start jogging. Just a few more streets... I hear his swift feet, and he grabs me from behind, pressing a wet cloth on my face. He drags me behind a building. My muffled screams are the only noise in the silent night. I try to break from his strong, yet careful hold. I wiggle under his grip, but he only lets out a sigh. "Shhhhh...don't scream...everything will be alright...shhhh..." he whispers. I feel warm tears slide down my face, and my eyesight blurs, and I stop screaming and escaping. The last thing I see are the swaying trees. Then... NOTE TO READERS: This is an alternative draft that we wrote for Saving Rose. It's the same story, but written differently. If you read both, we'd love to hear which you prefer! After Ned's family inherited an old mansion falling apart at the seams, Ned began to play pranks on his six older siblings, trying to convince them the house was haunted. But Ned might as well have been invisible because his family wasn't fooled. Ned was just a nuisance and he really just wanted attention. His dad nagged him to pick up a tool kit and help with the chores, but Ned had a more important job-hunting imaginary ghosts with his Foam Blaster 10,000. It was the only gift he'd ever received that wasn't a hand-me-down. Sometimes the foam darts accidentally got stuck on his siblings' foreheads and that was usually his cue to run upstairs, lock himself in his room, and play his favorite online game, CyberGhost, while he let one of his siblings cool off. But when an anonymous offline player messages Ned to tell him that they need help stopping a ghost invasion IRL, Ned feels important for the first time in his life. He knew it was just a game, but could they actually be serious?
