MacKenzie Haas is a single mother living in Chicago, raising her eight-year-old daughter, Winter. MacKenzie's whole life revolves around Winter, work, and music. She doesn't have much time for anything else in life. But it changes when her friends invite her to a concert for a fun night out, something MacKenzie hasn't seen in a long time. MacKenzie ends up meeting Post Malone, the pop star everyone knows about. MacKenzie has heard about him and has heard some of his music but was never a big fan. She ends up meeting him backstage and gets his number. MacKenzie's unsure at first because for so long it was just her and Winter and MacKenzie had no one to rely on but herself. But Austin proves himself and MacKenzie lets him into her life. He's sweet to her and Winter, supportive of her music, and puts his all into their relationship. MacKenzie knows he's good for her and hopes she doesn't mess it up.

Austin's world is unraveling. Slumped against the wall, he clutches his head as Jason's agonized screams tear through the air. The drugs have almost pulled him under, and now, the weight of Jason's relentless cries is pushing him to the brink. He narrowly escaped the lure of heroin's tempting embrace, but every second feels like a battle he's losing. Paddy, ever the steadying force, pulls him close, offering the comfort of a gentle embrace. Her words-firm but caring-remind Austin of the stakes. Remember your parents. You can't let this destroy you. It's a fight against his own darkest urges and the intense pull to run away with Jason into a haze of escape. But in the end, it's Paddy's voice that grounds him, leading him away from the chaos, toward some semblance of peace. But even in the quiet of the night, the emotional storm is far from over. The argument over Jason's fate lingers. Fifi's persistence gnaws at him. And Austin finds himself locked in a struggle between the weight of his choices and the desire for a life he's unsure he deserves. In a world where pain, addiction, and love collide, Austin must confront his demons before they consume him. But is it already too late to save the one he loves the most in this world? A raw, heart-wrenching tale of addiction, redemption, and the fight for a future worth living.
