The Compass of Nine, the relic for which Lulu made a deal with the ancient witch, Virmira Tanadall, is finally calibrated. Though Idelle has no knowledge of how to navigate the Grave, she feels compelled to honor the request of family and convinces Lulu to embark on this new quest with her to an unknown world, Velara. What they find leads them further into the King of Bones' path, an action that could not only endanger their own lives, but others as well for, as Lulu says, a man who calls himself the King of Bones isn't a man you can trust to follow the rules.
