"Doll..." he whispered as he let his hands grab her cheeks to lift her up from the cold floor "I need you to open your eyes"
Katherine's heart skipped a beat.
It was Bucky's voice.
He's dead, she thought. She read the letter.
This was just another dream. Or maybe they were doing this to her, trying to break her to spill all the information she had about Steve.
Oh God, this was so cruel. Making her believe he was alive.
"Please stop" she begged with her eyes still closed, speaking for the first time in what felt like years.
"Love, it's me. Open your eyes, please"
"No! Make it stop please, don't to this to me"
"Katherine, look at me!" he screamed in desperation, trying to take her out of that horrible nightmare she thought she was having.
When she opened her eyes and saw his face so close to her, a small tear fell off her face as she stared at him. Using all of her strength, she lifted herself up from the floor to stand on her knees so her face was closer to Bucky's.
He was there. His eyes were full of tears as well, but he wouldn't let himself cry. Not now that he had to be strong for his girl.
"Oh doll, what did they do to you?"
