Two weeks. Fourteen days. A fortnight.

Two entire weeks until the nightmare semi-final of the Euros, and excitement was spreading fast. 2021 had held a lot for hope for English fans until their heartbreak loss in the finals--they hadn't come this far in over fifty years. Now, 2024 had come, and here they were, lining up to face Germany.

The Euros were the talk of everybody's town--somehow the football fanatics had infected every person in the country. It was football, where grown men ran around on a field and screamed at each other--but somehow, everyone seemed to care, and Selene couldn't figure out why.

(Even if the pretty face of one of their players kept appearing whenever she closed her eyes.)

"Never said that, sweetheart. Give us a kiss, please?"
