In Emerald's daydreams, there is this guy who has a killer smile and honey brown eyes, wearing the most stylish clothes yet has the sweetest and kindest personality in the world.
Her best friend invites her to his family dinner reunion. That's when she saw the guy in her daydream, her best friend's Elite Athlete cousin. Unfortunately, you can't get all that you wanted. Elliot Clyde happens to be a famous athlete and does not let anything distract him from becoming an Olympic Champion; whether it be other competitors, family, and his thousands of fangirls. He never lets his walls down but he can read everyone just by observing them, what happens when he meets Emerald? Can he read that he is her dream guy?
That's not the only start of something new, Elliot's mother happens to offer Emerald a deal. A deal that could make her closer to her dream guy. What will happen when she accepts this? Will her reverie about him be crushed? Or will she continue to swoon over his "dream guy" and steal his heart of stone?

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. Looking at him from across the cafeteria my heart just stops. He bites his lower lip slightly as he reads the following words off of his new book, adjusting his hair from time to time. How can someone you've spent all of high school trying to forget still be the one to hold your heart?.. Stop staring! I look away and my eyes focus on something else... He's still the one I love. I'm running, my dress bunched up in my fists. But I'm not running for my life I'm running for his, and when I see him I stop. There is one bulky man on either side of him, they have their arms linking his, he's kneeling in front of someone with raven black hair. As we get closer, I see his pain in the way he's holding himself, his brown hair is clouding his face. Something catches in my throat as I see him bent forward, almost looking limp. The panic is slowly eating me up on the inside. 'Please lift your head, let me see your eyes' I pray inside my head. He can't be gone. It's almost like he hears my prayers as he looks up, his blue eyes as deep as the ocean depths, knocks the breath out of me as per usual. I close my eyes and thank God for keeping him alive. The right side of his jaw is all purple and red. A cut on the other side of his face, which is oozing with the red liquid. He suddenly looks past the black haired male to look at us, reassurance washing over his features. It's when he sees me that his eyes widen, and the panic grows by the second.
