Y/n Sencen was normal for who she was. She manifested at age ten as an Empath. Her parents and her twin brother, Keefe, were super proud of her. But only three months later, she had manifested again as a Shade, and ability more frowned upon in the Lost Cities. When she turned eleven, she ran away and joined her best friends, Tam and Linh Song on there way to Exillium. She was leaving her old life and family behind her. Her parents learned where she had went, but never tried to get her back. So she lived there for years, and ended up secretly joining the Black Swan. She had thought about her family a few times before, but she had learned not to care. But one day, something unexpected happened in the Exillium healing tent on the day of a few new arrivals.

The Neverseen has fallen. The Lost Cities are rejoicing, finally being able to taste freedom. Sophie Foster was at a loss. It was hard to remember that victory was on their side when she had to witness the damage the Neverseen has caused. She was in desperate need of finding out how to let go of who she was before, and start to be who she wants to be. Keefe Sencen was struggling. He winds up in Paris, France, and soon finds himself meeting none other than Adrien Agreste. However, Adrien himself has been plagued with nightmares, being haunted by places and things he doesn't know about, but yet can feel a sense of familiarity and home with the images. What's even stranger than that? Other than Keefe, he's beginning to hear voices. Not just physical voices. Their mental voices. Because the Black Swan had made a second moonlark. Continuing right after "Unlocked," "The Second Moonlark" forces everyone to begin to question everything around them, including their own identities. Besides the teenage problems like boys or her recently manifesting, she and her friends find out that the Black swan has started to contact their parents again. The reason for that...Missing Elves. Evangeline knows that she should probably leave the adults to do the investigating, but at a certain point she decides that she and her friends have to act as well.
