A deaf autistic savant moves into rural Texas farm country. The locals think he's a retarded recluse until his astounding inventions change their lives and give them new purpose. 1970s rural Texas: Larry Buddles is a deaf autistic savant in his 60s who moves to farm country to escape his critical peers in the world of science. His odd behavior soon unnerves the locals. At first, they think he's a crazy recluse until one day he saves the life of a crippled dog and his astounding genius is revealed. His world turns upside down when the world discovers the secrets Larry's been hiding. Local fame turns to rejection, plunging Larry into spiraling terror. Emotionally little more than a child, Larry's new life in Sanger, Texas forces him to grow up and face the real world while struggling to reconnect with his estranged daughter. Where once he was selfish and shunned religion in favor of science, this misfit man unexpectedly finds acceptance in a conservative evangelical community of people he once considered beneath him. Unbeknownst to Larry, his bond with Duke prepares him to face a life-or-death decision about his grandchild. The Misfit Man is a tale of mystery, intrigue, love and loss in which all those involved experience the world anew through the eyes of each other.

Chrissy Martinez is lost, but not the kind of lost that a GPS will fix. She's the kind of lost that takes years of therapy or a trip to one of those spiritual retreats to fix. At 19, she had no idea what her place would be in the world, but she could manage. With her mama and sister by her side, she kept her head down and worked a shitty job to hold the family together. That is, until her whole life came crashing down when her mother died and she lost the safeguard of her home in the same week. Wandering lost in a world without her shepherd, she knows her snarky attitude or quick wit cannot save her from this, she needs a map. And maybe, just maybe, she finds the very map she needs while cleaning out her mother's closet. Maybe, that map is in the form of a birth certificate. ---------- Skillet Lawson is the club goofball. His reputation for inappropriate comments and deadly sarcasm make him a staple in the Franklin chapter of The Devil's Right Hand MC. To some, his child-like banter and carefree nature may seem immature, but to Skillet, this is the epitome of maturity. Nothing is more mature than seeing all the shit the world has to offer and sticking your middle finger up at it. His life is pretty damn good now. He's got everything he could ever want. But what happens when the mysterious girl with curly hair and a bag full of secrets catches his eye? Now, the man who never takes anything seriously develops serious feelings for the beauty with a secret identity, even though he knows he shouldn't. Can Skillet resist the gorgeous forbidden fruit? Or will he fall under the spell of the devil's daughter? ------ Disclaimer: This is the fourth book in my Devil's Right Hand Series. While I recommend reading these books in order, this can be read as a stand-alone.

George hasn't had an easy life after being diagnosed with autism. Going to a public school as an autistic, highly intelligent boy, he clearly notices the differences between his classmates and himself, giving him a lot of insecurity and shame about his own behaviour. As his escape, he goes to a bakery for hours a day to calm his mind, but things change when a new boy who moved is hired. Unexpectedly, and for the first time, George decides to open himself up to the new boy, Clay, while at the same time, Clay slowly starts falling for his new best friend, George. Mostly fluff with some angst every now and then! ⚠️ I wrote this book from my own experience and my own mindset, as someone with diagnosed autism, highly intelligent and ADHD. I DON'T think people with autism are childish or cute, I'm not projecting a stereotype. This is from my own struggles with autism at a public school without special needs.
