The first installment in a four book series. Enter the world Trentyn Shane Blankenbaker he's just like any other antisocial, depressed alternative style teenager. In fact the only reason that anyone at his school even knows his name is because of his column "Point Blank Range" in the school's weekly paper. Yes Trent Blank's column seemed to be just what the school needed. An open expression of teenage angst through the macabre fantasy world of Notgnirrot.
Starting out as a creative expression assignment for a psychologist and accidentally published, his column comes as the dark tales of a creature on an undisclosed mission to free the Fairy Princess from the fierce soul stealing Raptors and slaying a terror inducing Hell Beast with the help of a Shade and an Arch angel too doomed to be saved. Little does anyone know the creature's epic tales are based on true life events documenting anything from his crush on a nameless girl only described as hauntingly beautiful and wildly popular, to the twists of his growing heroin addiction. But no one knew that when their sleepy little town awoke on the morning of January 23rd, 2004, their world as they knew it would end.
The mysterious disappearance of this strange otherworldly boy whose words had moved the teenage population would rocket their town into a catastrophe of accusations, suicide, lies and betrayal. Brace yourselves as Trentyn takes you through the rollercoaster of mental health issues and drug addiction. Introducing you to the key suspects in his disappearance. "Are you coming to bed firefly?" He says to me laying his hands over my waist joining me in looking over the city. "I want to look out for a little longer if that is alright?" It was a dark cold night-the night where the birds lay dead on the cold ground, listening in to the deceased whispers. This is the night where blood was once spilled. Jeremy hid behind a tree, holding on his thigh-his thigh was bleeding as he got stabbed. Jeremy looked at his wound, cursing under his breath. Jeremy looked around to see if anyone was nearby, there wasn't anyone nearby but he could hear the screaming of his pals. He could do nothing but to weep, he got out of his hiding spot and went deeper into the woods. He was wincing in pain as he dragged his injured leg. It was dark, too dark to the point even the moonlight couldn't provide light. Jeremy tripped over a tree root, he winced in pain, squeezing his injured thigh in pain. He soon heard a twig being snapped close to him. He pulled himself together, getting back on his feet. Dragging his leg once more. This time he raised the pace, panicking as he knew that he was being followed. He soon came across an abandoned truck that was in a small field. He smiled in relief, getting inside of the truck. He heard movement from his right, seeing a silhouette of a being that was coming closer to him. He panicked, climbing to the other seat to close the door. Once the door was closed, he locked the doors-backing away after. The door handle was being pulled aggressively but soon stopped. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around his thigh, he winced in pain as he made it tight. He looked around the truck, trying not to move too much. He eventually found a pen and a piece of paper. Everybody started hyping him up, so he's trying to beat 100,000. You remember the mess you had to clean up after some kid accidently knocked over a bunch of beer. You like to not think about how it ruined your favorite pair of shoes. He messed up again, and kicked the machine. You yelled out to him "That thing costs money you know." then he looked at you. His face almost looked angelic. But he had been the jerk of your highschool, so he couldn't be that angelic. He looked away and picked at his pockets. He pulled out nothing.
