...Hope is a monster...

Witness the terror and suffering the god of hope goes through as he carries the burden of the exenoverse and being the strongest.

The true story. The true reason he never showed.

He is everywhere...

Watching.

Waiting for nothing.

Living for no one.

Yearning to be free.

Holding onto his own.

He is hope.

Yet he is the monster.

He is Zarathustra.
And this is his story.

The Greylands: Modern Edition by SusanSkylark
1 part Complete
A land of shadows, of mystery, of obfuscated Truth. Welcome to the Greylands, that strange world, within the bounds of Time, peopled by mortal men. We cannot see truly, only as through a glass, darkly. There are things that move and have their being completely beyond our ability to perceive them. There are things beyond our mortal ability to comprehend. There are hints and glimmers hidden within the body of revealed Truth, but there is much we do not know, cannot yet understand, and could never dare dream. These stories are mere fancy, with a seed of Truth at their core. They play with the ideas of mortality and Eternity, Time and things beyond it, and of course the epic battle of Good against Evil. Each stands alone, and though there are common themes, threads, names, and concepts, each story is an entity unto itself and should not be seen as occurring in the same world or mistaken for installments of a series. These are random musings, not Gospel Truth, and should not be taken as such. Joy, hope, and encouragement are hopefully a byproduct, but certainly not sound Theology. If you would know more of the true world beyond these Greylands, one must be a careful student of the Scriptures, not of silly stories such as these. While still fairytales, these stories are set in modern surroundings rather than the land of Faerie! Each story is unique unto itself, and doesn't reference any other story, world or character elsewhere.

They came for me, when i had let my guard down. Even though i had expected the empire of the monsters and its acursed emperor, to come at me with everything they had. They came for me when i had least expected them too, in a way i had least predicted them too, using the methods and tactics that made them, and made him for who he is. See...Peace can do that too a man. Hope can do that too a man. light can do that too a man. It can make you lower your guard down. Even though i had honed my fists and mind, i would and should not have lowered my guard down. Because i had done so, the people i cherished the most-the men and women of the cold valley, suffered for my negligence and my incompetency. and worst of all my little brothers and sisters paid them, with their future and their innocence. By doing this they caused a bloody war. By taking from me they instigated a bloodshed. and either of them they should not have done. For They should have learnt from their mistake long ago, it was not mercy that made me give their, and his life back to him- it was anger. pure and fresh in very format and flavor. And the thing about any war, and the thing about any battle, is that the demons are always the one's to dominate. Because they are the incarnation of carnage and death. My name is of no importance. But the moniker, and the epithet called the demon of the clod valley that i use, is of the greatest of significance. And this is my tale. This is my tragedy. But most of all this is my conquest, and pursuit of justice.

The Keepers: Song of Sorrow

10 parts Complete

In the darkest depths of the Void lies a dream. It's been there of thousands of years undisturbed and thriving. Well maybe not the people in the dream, but the monsters that were conjured into being the moment the dream started seem to do well for themselves. Beasts made out of mangled body parts And congealed flesh, some with dozens of eyes, others with dozens of mouths. All seeming impossible to the eyes of any who aren't one of them and maddening to look at. They rule the dream with tooth and claw, terror and torment. And they relish it. The worst of there are Pathos and Addac, two such creatures of speed and strength who banded together to rule over the rest. They are brothers in bloodshed and destroyers of whole kingdoms. However, the dream isn't permanent. Like most dreams once the dreamer awakens the dream will end along with everything inside or tied to it. Then a new terror will arrive to take its place; the Sleeping God who was sealed away years ago by the All Fathers themselves.
