Luz is forced to leave the Boiling Isles, leaving her friends, family, and magic, behind. After four years of being gone and living life in the human realm, Luz is bewildered when suddenly a palisman shows up at her front doorstep. Hurt and confused after just coming out of a relationship, Luz doesn't hesitate to pack her bags and set off to the demon realm to find answers.
Four years can change a lot about a person, and when Luz returns to the Boiling Isles, she sees her old friends are not the same as they once were, especially her old crush, Amity.
Trying to adjust to her new life, Luz tries to figure out why the palisman came to her, while also dealing with the everyday drama as a the only human high school student at Hexide

It was no secret amongst herself that she wanted to see and memorize Luz's abs, to feel her defined chest muscles she had surgery to make flat. to recognize the peach fuzz three months of testosterone gave her.. to drown in the smoothness of her voice.
