Her mother's body was at Hermione's. Her mother had fallen onto her back, and Hermione looked down into her mother's eyes, which were a deep but luminous brown. The light had not yet faded."
After murdering Hermione Granger's parents, the mysterious killer seemed to drop from the face of the earth, leaving Hermione to be raised by an eccentric but kind-hearted Squib. Hermione grew up harboring a nebulous fear of the magical world, but the time inevitably came for her to enter Hogwarts.
Following the guidance of her protectors, Hermione keeps herself guarded and protects her identity. Despite this, she finds friends, enemies, and a mixture of both, and all her goody-two-shoeing and raising of hands still can't quite manage to keep her out of trouble.

An alternate version of the classic Harry Potter story, in which Hermione is the main character. Locations will be mostly the same, characters will be somewhat the same, and plot points will be mostly quite different.

A sinister plot is on play inside the walls of Hogwarts and they are caught up in the middle again. Will she solve the puzzles in time to save everyone? Or will her perfect life go up in flames? **IMPORTANT** This book is very much just an introduction followed by incorporating the new character into the established world and timeline. As the author, I would suggest the following. 1. Read "Philosopher's Stone" (this book) till before the chapter titled "THE JOURNEY FROM PLATFORM NINE AND THREE QUARTERS" 2. Skip the rest. It is merely a telling of what you have already read in canon, just from a different perspective. 3. Move to "The Chamber of Secrets" and start with the chapter titled "TOM MARVOLO RIDDLE." All the chapters before that are, once again, events you would already be familiar with. 4. Finish book 2 and move on to book 3. There on after, you can read normally. This isn't compulsory. It is simply, in my opinion, the best way to enjoy the series. Since I understand that some portions of the first two books are not very different from canon and thus, can seen boring.
