The Statue and the magic powers

A girl was picked up by a stranger and brought to his wife, his wife was furious that his husband brought another child from the streets. They are poor and living in the forrest with a small house made of bamboo. The children wore girls clothes even though most of them are boys because she is the oldest and her clothes will wore by the children if it does not fit to her anymore. The wife always beat the children specially her because she is dumb and always have made mistakes. One day the wife was missing she probably already run away , some man goes to their house looking for the woman but they could not find her and rumours have spread that the man has already killed his wife which the children knows that is not true. The husband always working on the fields but when they go to the store or just walk on the streets she notices that she can't hear anything even the sound of the cars but she does not say anything to the man because she does not want him to get worried. There is this statue at the altar that has been gathering dust she cant clean the altar because she is still small and cant reach it but she tried to reach the altar by standing on the chair and that is the first time the man scolded her, he was angry very angry and so afraid that she might break the statue. she never dare to touch the statue again.
