When Pete Wentz had first come across an eleven-year-old boy named Patrick Stump, he didn’t know that it was all it would take for him to be completely yet unknowingly sucked into Patrick’s world—a world revolving around and seemingly built from all of the mystery and adventure novels, movies and TV shows that Patrick enjoyed so much.

Years might have passed by already, but Pete still wasn’t entirely sure how he truly felt for the man who was five years younger than him—and his confusion regarding his sexual preferences and the fact that he had always considered Patrick merely as a best friend and nothing more had only worsened the situation. He knew that he cared for him very much… maybe even a little too much. Everything in their hurricane-like friendship felt so right and so wrong at the same time.

Only did Pete fully realize how much Patrick actually meant to him when he found out that the kid suddenly went missing… but left clues along his trail that Pete had to fit together.

Maybe Patrick just wanted to play a more complex version of hide-and-seek, after all.

“No matter what I do, I could feel myself being drawn towards him, similar to that of a moth to a dancing flame. I would follow it even if I was aware that I might get burned.”

[This fan-fiction is entered in the #Wattys 2014.] Patrick Stump had only wanted two things in the world. To have the looks of his best friend, Pete Wentz, and get noticed by his other best friend and who had to be the longtime girlfriend of Pete, London McKenzie. He had always degraded himself for being this chubby guy who only got noticed in the music industry with the help of Pete, and he had always wanted London to see him as someone more than a best friend. Patrick hated the fact that he was "rotting in the godforsaken hellhole called the 'friend zone'". After knowing about the abrupt end of Pete and London's two-year relationship, Patrick was tempted to make a move on her. He then realized that he would be crossing a line because he could ruin the friendship that he was sharing with the two. He didn't want that to happen. But with London going over at his place to cry over Pete, and with Pete admitting to him that he still had feelings for London, he didn't know what to do anymore. She wasn't even his to miss, anyway. *~* “It’s difficult to fall in love with someone you couldn’t be with because of certain circumstances.” “You? Having problems in getting girls? Oh, come on! You’re famous, talented, sweet and absolutely adorable! I’m sure that you can have any girl you want—” “But I can’t have you, can I?” © Daphne Reyes (conjurethemockingjay), All Rights Reserved 2014

The Will of Love and Life (Peterick)

34 Partes Concluida Contenido adulto

His life is like a car crash. It seems to play in slow motion, and it's hard to believe that it's happening right in front of you. It's captivating, and you know you shouldn't stare, but as soon as your eyes are gone, it's like the carnage disappears. Everything is natural, and you wonder if you just imagined the whole thing. A lawyer's life isn't meant to be dramatic. Especially when his specialty is writing wills and prepping your impending death. But Patrick Stumph doesn't think he has much more to offer. He is just awaiting the day his will comes in handy. He spends his day in a law office. He paints to escape. He slashes his skin to hate. The day Pete Wentz literally jumps into his life, his car comes screeching to a halt. The young hairdresser shows the lawyer that maybe there is something worth living for, as long as he stops until the light is green. (Trigger warnings. Please read first A/N for detailed explanation)
