"So you're just gonna sit outside of a gas station until sunrise?" Arlo isn't sure why he is so concerned about this boy's whereabouts.

"Maybe I didn't want to go home yet." Surprisingly, he feels himself agreeing with the boy. 

"Hmm. You gonna tell me your name?"

Letting one arm drop off of his leg he props it behind him enough to lean back and crane his head up. "I'm Finnick."

"Arlo." He replied, looking down at the boy's face, street lights only making it paler.
 

The following conversation that ensued struck an unprompted-almost unbearable- eye opening road trip between two California boys
