In an alternate version of what happens after Crooked Kingdom (second book of the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo) Kaz Brekker and Inej Gafha find themselves trapped on yet another mission when Inej's parents are kidnapped right under their noses- and by a former member of the Dregs, too! After being humiliated by Kaz and released from service to the Crows the former dregs member decides to get his revenge. What better way to get revenge on Kaz than to break his Wraith? In this story (which will be told in saints-know how many parts) Kanej must do what they can to save the Gafhas from a miserable fate and get rid of the crime lord for good.
