Having no recollection of how he got there, Bernard wakes up in a facility room, and takes it upon himself to break every teen out as he makes his escape.

There exist a certain group of people with natural-born superpowers, the Gifted, within the world. However, on a certain day, few Gifted teenagers are taken to an underground facility. After a year's length of being asleep, Bernard Johnson, a mute boy with the ability to manipulate space, wakes up in one of many rooms of the facility, and is forced to break his way out while releasing the other kids.

"I've tried telling them I'm only fifteen. That no sane government would force a boy my age to fight crime. 'But Max, you're a superhero! Isn't this what you want?' Actually, no. Between managing a secret lair and making sure your mom doesn't stop loving you because you keep telling everyone she's dead, it's a really hard business to be good at? Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive? And then, you realise your best friend is plotting go take over your spot as the greatest villain there ever was? Okay, maybe not the greatest, but you do come pretty close to it! To top it off, there's that one Superhero who's just so completely gorgeous, you couldn't imagine any harm coming to them? Because they're just that precious? I guess that makes me a Supervillain with minor time travel superpowers and a huge crush on a not so powerful Superhero? And all you have to do is protect yourself and everyone you love from your ex best friend/sidekick --because let's face it that's the highest level of praise for a wretched traitor here--and you also have to get out of Super Holding somehow? Emerson Rogers liked to think of himself as an ordinary teenager. After all, he had no reason to believe otherwise. He went to an upstanding private school with the rest of his friends, was a straight-A student, had no disciplinary issues, and was well-liked according to his classmates and teachers. If anyone were to take a glance at him, they would assume that he was just another carefree rich kid with no problems in his life to worry about. Unless you consider the fact that his evening plans included putting on a blue super suit and speeding through the streets as a crime-fighting superhero. Okay, so maybe his life wasn't as ordinary and carefree as he liked to portray it. With Emerson starting his senior year of high school, things have started to become a bit more tricky than he would've preferred. Defending Jefferson City and maintaining a normal school life as a cover can be hard, but throw in his best friend getting closer to the truth about his alter-ego's identity and a mysterious villain working from the shadows who always seems to be two steps ahead, living a double life is going to be his biggest challenge yet. Especially when new villains start crawling out of the woodwork, thirsty for a fight, and his old villains return stronger, angrier, and looking to settle a score. As Emerson starts to uncover the truth behind where all these villains are coming from, he finds that not everything is what it seems on the surface. And that he and this mysterious villain have a stronger connection than he originally thought.
Breaking out of Area 51
Andy has been living in this cell for so long he's stopped counting the days. The marks on the wall say its been at least five years, but he suspects its been much longer. He wakes every day to the same routine, staring at the lonely walls, eating what they call 'breakfast', and hoping for the luxury of seeing the other kids. All of them in the same concrete block he was, just because they could do something no one else could. And then the mute boy, the normal one that no one else likes because he's treated slightly better, shows Andy there are secrets about their captivity. When Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr go looking for other mutants, in a great effort, to stop the world from going into a third world war, they are surprised by who they find. The first of the three that were found last is a girl who goes by the street name of a Dive, who was soon revealed by Charles without a protest from her, to be able to manipulate all sorts of water, and even turning herself into water for limited amount of times, using it to move, from place to place. The next mutant they find, is a boy that goes by Circuit. His powers were quickly revealed to be the powers to manipulate, absorb, and even temporarily to become the lightning, as well as electrical energy that he absorbs and then uses to power himself up. He is also said to be able to completely destroy metal and things made of metal if he pushes enough electrical energy through it, causing it to explode in response. The last of the three, is perhaps, the most dangerous mutant of them all. With telekinetic abilities to rival that of Charles Xavier, the girl who now goes by Second she would be a very good and very useful ally to their cause... if only they could get her to stop speaking through images in their heads. She insists with images on being called Second but they choose to all call her Instinct instead. Charles understands them all since he knows from searching through their minds, that they have, quite all of them, been through hell in their young lives. When the time comes to fight for what they all need to know that they believe in the three mutants all are to choose. Do they stay continuing to lock themselves away and only conversing with each other and on certain occasions, someone else? Or will they learn to see the world like the others do, and learn to see that not everyone who is in the new world now, isn't just like the others who sought to all destroy it before?
