Having no recollection of how he got there, Bernard wakes up in a facility room, and takes it upon himself to break every teen out as he makes his escape.

There exist a certain group of people with natural-born superpowers, the Gifted, within the world. However, on a certain day, few Gifted teenagers are taken to an underground facility. After a year's length of being asleep, Bernard Johnson, a mute boy with the ability to manipulate space, wakes up in one of many rooms of the facility, and is forced to break his way out while releasing the other kids.

Five kids,born with superpowers,are taken from they're families, where they are forced to live in a Facility, were they can never escape, are abused,broken, and turned into weapons against they're Will. Now Teenagers,the gang must escape they're prison home in order to reunite with their families and live a normal life again. But being born a Mutant is not easy and when the leader of the Facility turns all the mutants that where left their,now got turned in weapons. Shortlisted for the Open Novella Contest 2019 • Being a Supervillain is tough. Between managing a secret lair and making sure your mom doesn't stop loving you because you keep telling everyone she's dead, it's a really hard business to be good at? Add to that, the fact that somehow you got arrested because your cat sitter didn't take the day off and then you go around expressing your unconditional love for pancakes in a Super holding cell because technically they can't put you in a proper prison and you don't really have a choice because lawyers are expensive? And then, you realise your best friend is plotting go take over your spot as the greatest villain there ever was? Okay, maybe not the greatest, but you do come pretty close to it! To top it off, there's that one Superhero who's just so completely gorgeous, you couldn't imagine any harm coming to them? Because they're just that precious? I guess that makes me a Supervillain with minor time travel superpowers and a huge crush on a not so powerful Superhero? And all you have to do is protect yourself and everyone you love from your ex best friend/sidekick --because let's face it that's the highest level of praise for a wretched traitor here--and you also have to get out of Super Holding somehow? As Emerson starts to uncover the truth behind where all these villains are coming from, he finds that not everything is what it seems on the surface. And that he and this mysterious villain have a stronger connection than he originally thought.
