This is Vaishali's journey.

The mere thought of being accused of Lekha's murder fills Vaishali's heart with dread. On one side she would be safe from all accusations but might just end up leading what 'she' thinks is a boring lifestyle. On the other end, juvenile detention and being marked as a criminal for life was not the kind of excitement she was looking forward to.

She conversed with a man whose face was obscured by a black scarf. Abruptly, she disappeared, and he approached, laughing cruelly. This was unprecedented-no one in my visions had ever acknowledged me. I stood precariously on a cliff's edge, paralyzed with fear. As he advanced, I stumbled, my skirt catching. I fell, clutching the scarf, and looked up to witness an utterly terrifying sight. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• The screams of my people, from both Shamsher Garh and Pratap Garh, tore through my mind, merging into a haunting symphony of agony. I was overwhelmed, my senses consumed by darkness and despair. Amidst the chaos, I saw a vision of my father, his face twisted in pain. A figure in a red cloth approached him and stabbed him-Yuvraj, my Yuvraj. His betrayal was unbearable. As I reached out, my brothers' terrified faces appeared, only to vanish. Yuvraj struck me with a knife, his shout, "जय भवानी! हर हर महादेव!" {Glory to Bhavani. Hail Mahadev!} Echoing as darkness closed in. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• "So you and your father are the same," He sneered. "He commits crimes, and you cover them up. How long will you keep defending him? Just wait and see how long you can last." He walked away, leaving his cruel words hanging in the air. Highest ranking: #9 Romance & #4 in General Fiction!!! WARNING: I wrote this book when I was 17 so there is a ton of grammatical errors so please read at your own risk! *** Marriage is a sacred union tying two people that love each other, together. It brings happiness and blessings. Or that's what it should be. The marriage between traditional Karishma Varghese and the cold-hearted Jai Agarwal was anything but. Horrible circumstances force these two strangers together. Now bound by law, they struggle with feelings of hate in what they think is a loveless marriage, both holding deep, dark secrets, capable of ruining everything. Those very secrets and differences, however, could be what brings these two together in the end. ❧ "Just because we're legally bound together, doesn't mean I love you." He leaned down, spitting out the next words menacingly. "And I never will." I tried to hold back the tears as his amber eyes blazed with anger. "O-okay." "Now, stay out of my fucking personal life or I won't hesitate to ruin yours." As he left, I broke down. The truth was, I never thought that someone could hate me so much that they'd look at me like they wanted to kill me. Especially not if that someone was supposed to be my husband. ❧ Credit to @IamSumayya for making this absolutely gorgeous cover! Thank you so much for taking your time to make it! ❤️ PS. Highly unedited. Don't read if you're gonna point out every single mistake.
