Y/N Black was a half-blooded witch. She was raised all alone by her mother, Eleanor Mayer. She knows to herself that she's a witch. Y/N had done a lot of accidental magic since she was seven years old; accidentally burning their neighbor's dog's tail, accidentally melting her mum's new ceramic vase, and accidentally burning her mother's eyebrows.

Shock was visible on her face when a barn owl swept through her bedroom window, carrying two envelopes, both sealed in wax. The first envelope had a coat of arms of a lion, a snake, an eagle, and a badger. She'd seen this somewhere in her mother's belongings, but she wasn't quite sure how her mother had the same letter she just received. The second envelope was stamped with a coat of arms showing three crows, a hand with a wand, and a skull. With just one glance of the first letter, one can tell that it was an acceptance letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. But what demented Y/N the most was the second letter. It only had two words below the coat of arms

"Toujours Pur"
