Jill Whelan helped Steve, Nat, Sam, and Wanda after the events of Civil War.  Steve introduces her to Bucky while he is healing in Wakanda and they become friends.  Then Thanos hits.  After five years without Bucky, he's finally back.  Jill is dealing with the losses of Nat, Steve, Tony, and Wanda when Bucky shuts her out.

This story is set about seven months after Steve goes back to the 1940s.  Jill is working for New S.H.I.E.L.D. when Fury has her team up with Sam and Bucky in their pursuit of the Flag Smashers.  She is dealing with working with Bucky who has made it clear to her that he no longer wants to be friends while she still cares about him.  Bucky is dealing with his past as the Winter Soldier and not feeling like he is worthy of being friends with Jill.

The first few chapters follow The Falcon and The Winter Soldier show but then will go on from there.
