The story "Lost in Thought," is about the toughened high school life of Cassidy Hartmann, who already has an abusive home life. She gets bullied by kids at school, and then returns home to a house without love. Rarely does she find people to be aquatinted with, for the majority of kids have already found their own "cliques," leaving her to survive on her own. She feels lost, and alone. Depression is clearly setting in on her life, and she loses hope quite rapidly. She wants to get pulled back into happiness, but she's so far from her goal. She simply can't do it alone. She needs someone to give her the love and care that she has lacked the majority of her life. Who will save her from this self hate? Then they finally decided to go to the place where her mom used to live. Then being at high school entering into a new school is tough.
