Maryann Douglas was born in Abbeville, South Carolina in 1801. Her life at age twenty-one was ended when she was caught with a woman and sentenced to drown. The next day, she awoke a Vampire, her new friend Silvie by her side. Together, they left South Carolina to begin their new life.
In the present day, Maryann has returned to Abbeville for the first time since she became a Vampire. Finally ready to know what happened to her lover Annabella and her sister Abby all those years ago, she looks back to the town's early history. Curiously enough, Maryann is lead down a path that threatens to reveal everything that happened all those years ago, including the possibility both Abby and Annabella are still alive.
Will she finally let Annabella go, and move on with her heart?
