Dalphene Woods moves to a small town in West Virginia away from her mentally unstable mother and into the arms of her "hooker" step mother. During her stay with her new family she hits ups and downs. Meets her so called soul mate and even faces death. Will Dalphene survive her new town and new family? Or will she become one with the dirt beneath everyone's feet?
