From the moment Kamryn Collins was born, she was exposed to the cruel reality that humanity is. Her parents had worked to keep the secret of her existence for years, but one day the inevitable had to come. When Kamryn was 16, the guards found her and she was arrested. Kamryn had never expected to find herself on Earth just a few months before her execution. But as it turns out, humanity wasn't the only cruel factor in her life. The council was sending a hundred criminals to Earth, the same Earth that was going to be radiation soaked for another hundred years. It almost seemed as if the world was betting against sweet, little Kamryn.

Typically, when a crime is committed on the Ark, the committor is floated into space, but if they are under the age of eighteen they must be held in a prison cell until the age of eighteen when they are reviewed. Eve was locked up for six months, but one-hundred juvenile delinquents including herself were sent to Earth to see if it was habitable.
