After the Flare

Minho's son, David, is competing in a championship for his school track team. As the fastest runner on his team, the fastest in the state, he has a lot of competition, but he is struggling at school and home, and risks being taken off the team for it. Meanwhile, David's dad is being really hard on him, for some reason David doesn't know. It seems that his dad is hiding something- something really big and mysterious- about his past, and it might have something to do with the crisis- the flare- that happened a few decades ago. As a new disease rules in his small town, secrets become exposed and a discovery might force them to leave and start over. Everything is going to change.
