King George III was the King of England from 1760 to 1820. History hasn't cast him in the best light, to America he is the Tyrant King they had to overthrow to gain their freedom. To England, he's the Mad King, who spent his final 10 years insane and locked away. He died, completely blind, deaf, unable to walk and suffering from dementia among other things. On Christmas 1819, he talked nonstop nonsense for 58 hours. When I read that about him, my mind went back to my Grandparents, my Nan's dementia and my Grandad's struggles with MS which slowly robbed him of the ability to use his own body. I saw how hard it was for them, but King George had to deal with all of that and more... That is what inspired this, sad thoughts about an old dying man being trapped in his own mind and body. The brief moments he is lucid enough to understand what is happening to him, but there's nothing he can do...All Rights Reserved
