Dead Men Tell Tales

The whispers of the dead have haunted Osira Karim her whole life. Born to a rift in spacetime, to a mother from an alternate universe, she was bound to be unusual - but she doesn't know any of that, and in any case, her almost-finished physics degree puts most ideas of the supernatural firmly outside of her beliefs. However, when one of the voices rises above the others to beg that she investigates his death, the truth of her ability and family becomes the very thing that will save the world - or rather, both worlds - from a cult bent on harvesting abilities like Osira's.
