He was like a fire that would burn anyone around him but he made sure not a flame touched her He was a devil that everyone was scared of but she was an angel who fell in love with him without knowing They both have a fate together but the devil has other plans, the flames may touch her and her love may be broken by his selfish self

She might've been the muse to a Carrie Underwood song. A Miranda Lambert CD with all the angst and twice the gasoline. It wasn't just trauma that Cassie Mckenna was running away from. It was her she was most scared of. Same broken-hearted girl who wanted nothing but to strike a match and watch it all burn to the ground. At war with her demons, Cassie leaves behind her tragic small town in Oklahoma for New York City to follow her dream as a photographer. But one vulnerable moment in the backseat with a New York City firefighter ignites her world like a backdraft. Taking another chance at love, Cassie plays the part of keeping up appearances as a firefighter's wife. Noe is her perfect match. After all, she loves fire...She really, really loves fire. Can a recovering arsonist keep the fires of her marriage simmering into happily ever after, or will her barely contained addiction once again destroy everything she loves? *** They say complements make the best kind of relationship. He likes rock. I like country. He drowns everything in Tapitio. I prefer Tabasco sauce. He's sweet and laid back, and I'm the one who holds a grudge. He puts out the fires, and I start them. Is that a deal breaker?

When they meet under odd circumstances, things fall into place and love happens right when they both need it only for it to end in tragedy and new life. *A/N: this is just a short story that I did for a class in high school. I fixed as many mistakes as I could but if you find any please let me know.*

Embark on the journey and see through the writer's eyes as he depicts one by one what may or may not have contributed to his depression. It is a story based loosely on the writer's life. A life full of insecurities, sadness, emotional pain, and abandonment issues. The characters depicted in this story have no affiliations to anyone in the real world. If it were to be similar, then it is purely coincidental. There are also cats in this story, but something bad happened to them. *sobs*

"I want you to kill me." Death moved closer to her, his hand moving to hold her cheek, keeping her steady as her heart continued to beat quicker and quicker. "Well that's just too bad, now isn't it." ----------------- Life can't stand the humans, constantly providing them with their soul beings and yet watching as they destroy everything in their path- her role she once loved has become a curse. Not to mention the horrid Light Beings she's forced to cozy up with in the Upperground. Life for Life has become... tiring and stressful and overall awful. Death loves the humans. Though he spends each waking hour sending them off to their eternal home in the Underground- ripping apart family's and causing grief for the ages. A job he thought would be easy has become unrelenting and increasingly taxing. Though the two couldn't be more different from one another, one chance encounter will pave the path for their whole lives as they know it to come undone. A story of love, hate, life and death. A slow burn fantasy romance in all the best ways<3 (Updated two times every weekend💗)
