Reluctance ~ unwillingness or disinclination to do something.

When I pull up to the apartment building I'm living in, I walk up to the floor I'm living on and suddenly stop in my tracks when I see a familiar curly haired dark figure in the corner of someone's door, I pretend I don't see him and walk as quickly as I can to my door. "Woah slow down there love" I hear the deep raspy British accent come from him

Would he notice how petrified I am right now.

"Um... can I help you?" I barely manage to get out, why am I so nervous, fuck sake. "I'm a little lost, would you mind helping me" he says with a cheeky smirk crawling up his face, great I have officially died.
