The world is guarded by Cosmic Rays, a name given to the protectors of the dreamworld and afterlife, who have been caring for them since the dawn of humankind. Like witches, they were seen by some as inherently evil. Their population dwindled over the centuries, and there came a time where they needed to disguise themselves much more than before.
In modern times, anyone can become a Cosmic Ray, but some of those were born to it are still around...like Savi. Abandoned by the mother she inherited her natural power from, she lived most of her childhood in confusion and forced to suppress her powers. Her father couldn't hide her true self any longer, and so she was thrown into the realm of the dreamworld.
There are Cosmic Rays out there who don't use their sacred powers for good. Savi will be one of those who must fight against them.
