And yet, this new librarian, Oliver Eastwood, is drawn to the chess boards. The simple, old, beat up chess boards near the check out. One night, he decides to play. He meets a friend because of this. A friend to alleviate the tedium of the labyrinth. It's enjoyable. For now, at least.
