You know how your family and loved ones say you are beautiful? smart, clever, and intelligent? How some think you are calm? respectful? cute even?
You know how you internally disagree but keep it buried deep within yourself?...and it sort of scares you?
How some others see as something different to what your loved ones see you...but that doesn't seem to really fit either?
That is me, Maisara Gray; though not all of me ofcourse.
Maisara is a 15 year old autistic muslim girl, and saying that trying to explain her is a near impossible job says enough.
Yameen Lake is somewhat similar to Maisara but almost everything about him is different from her at the same time. He is compassionate, yes, but he doesn't care about other's opinion of him very much. He is Intelligent, intoverted and confident on the outside, but on the inside, he is something a bit different.
For both of them, showing weakness to others is simply non-existant and others admire them for their outward selves.
But is that a blessing or a bit of a curse?
When the two notice each other, they are completely thrown off guard, they do not know what to expect, yet they are intrigued.
And after specific feelings enter the equation everything gets complicated considering they are muslim, their autism, and that one is a student and one is a teacher...
