Dorothy Gale's Granddaughter and the Wizard of Oz

Doris Gale, better known as Dare, is, to put it lightly, a maniac. She has a pit bull that had a reputation for attacking the neighbors cat, climbs roofs to watch sunsets and shoot her friends in the dark with Nerf guns, and runs away but returns shortly after leaving on a regular basis. The only thing she fears is tornadoes, which is unfortunate because she lives is Kansas, the heart of tornado alley. One day, close to the end of tornado season, the biggest one yet strikes. Hard. And Dare is caught right in the middle of it, in the worst place possible; the not quite tree house. When a piece of debris knocks her unconscious, she wakes up in a bizarre place called Oz. Now, the only way she can get home is to travel to a city that may or may not house someone who can help her get back to her aunts farm. The path is perilous, and filled with unknown dangers. It's a daunting task, and a terrifying one.
But is it really so bad if someone's already done it?
