When two best friends - driven by an insane competitive edge - begin to compete for the companionship of a short brunette, how will they overcome their fear of failure?

Tommy and Ranboo have been the closest of friends since year 7, smartest in the year, and most importantly, the most competitive pair the world had ever seen. Now entering their 11th school year with GCSE's just over the horizon, they realise they don't have much time left with eachother: after summer, who knows if they'll ever see eachother again?

Ranboo does thing this is a bit dramatic, but Tommy disagrees.

So when a new student - the kindest, sweetest and mostly peacefully threatening person to ever exist transfers into their classes, carnage breaks loose. They thought as best friends, they could get through every disagreement together. But this time..? They don't think so.

"Quit it, you two!" Tubbo thundered. "I hate this, I hate you: both of you!"

"You can't possibly mean that-"

"I do!" The short brunette cut across. "You're treating me like some kind of.. kind of prize!"

"I'm sorry we-"

"No! I'm not one of your Gold Stars to collect! Until you two can sort out your act, I don't wanna hear it!"

And he turned on his heel and left, leaving the other two in a stunned silence.
