*Read my first book called "Germ" before reading this*
After Drew Davis, a weak, immature twelve year old worrying about his popularity, turns into a strong (physically and emotionally) thirteen year old who acts like an obedient military student. After his group's failure of finding a safe spots around the U.S., Drew discovers that he's been running away from his safe spot: his home. His journey will be hard to face, but could pay off with a strong refugee with safe and peaceful days. He has a plan, motives, and a strong feeling driving him to do all of this: He is homesick.

The world ended long ago, riddled with plague and zombies and destruction. But humanity survived, and humanity evolved. The Infection that helped bring the world to its knees also changed humans in ways to help them keep living in this now broken world ready to be rebuilt. Seven lineages with three strains each, and each have their own unique set of traits that help us survive. But that's not what this story is about-at least, not really. This story isn't about how a hero will rise and bring the world back to what it was Pre-Fall. This story is about me, an ordinary Remanat living life through the world day to day as a mercenary. A beginner mercenary as everyone likes to remind me. The others in my group have been calling me 'Rookie' since I joined them three months ago. I'm beginning to wonder if they actually know my name. We have been hired to help the New Reach Caravan travel across the wastelands to Philly Del Phia, and this is the perfect opportunity to show them that I'm not just a dumb Rookie. I'm actually quite good at my job. I just happen to get distracted by one certain Eight-Ball, but it's not my fault he's good-looking, and charming, and funny... Anyway, all I have to do is help my group get the caravan to Del Phia. Should be an easy enough job. Just avoid the zoms and keep clear of the Raiders, and we should be fine... Right? With zombies hot on their heels and the world persistently giving them new obstacles to overcome, it will be hard for a group of seven teenagers to travel across almost the whole of England. A virus was created and this virus was passed on to Everyone in the hospital lab quickly causing the first zombie infected appearance. At first it was mild... but like a wild fire, it spread round the city and nearly around the world... humanity was pushed back, homes destroyed....bond broken.... and many more problems came. But after all, humans can adapt quickly. And quick did they adapt... creating weapons that work for both infected and mercenaries alike, humanity had found a way to survive again. She whimpered but as if her father didn't hear it he continued to grab her once again. "Father, please" She cried" "Now you have the guts to call me father huh? I should do this more often" She tried to run but he was able to catch her in his strong hands. "NO!" She kicked him and bit his hands but to no avail. He gripped her wrist and tied it towards the bed. "Don't protest daughter or it'll excite me even more" She escaped from home and welcomed hell into her life. Every night she felt pain all over her body. Her adopter lambasted her mercilessly until she was in deep darkness. An opportunity came and she immediately took it. She thought she was already safe, but another chaos awaits her in the outside world. Every fiber of her body beg for her to give up. But this doesn't mean her life was full of misery. While she hides herself from the darkness, she founds light. Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.Concluida
