my adventures with the two people i love most: the boy from the train, and olive

*this is the first book i have written! it's not done i just wanted to see if people would like it. *

backstory: olive and i have always been close. my family considers her as their own. olive doesn't really have a family. she has been raising her brother ever since her mom bounced and the drugs took over her dads life. in fact, her and august have been living with us for about 3 months now and every day as we walk past her old house, he manages to tell her to have a good day at school. olive isn't to focused on school, she would be failing if i didn't help her after class. i honestly think she considers school to be her safe place, which is weird cause the girl complains about it 24/7.
i think i forgot to introduce the best part of this story. hello folks, my name is dominique. i grew up in the hood for most of my life in downtown brooklyn, so i know what olive has been through recently. ever since my mom met steve, my life has been awesome. i don't mean to make her sound like a gold digger or anything but the man is loaded. like steve probably uses one hundred dollar bills as tissues. my mother, the non gold digger, just has a very specific taste in men. i believe is the most amazing women i have ever met. she has sacrificed everything for me, i mean her name is angel after all. and the name speaks for itself, she is truly my angel. after my dad got shot, my life changed. my mother wouldn't let me out of the house and i was home schooled up until the 7th grade. she was so worried that the person who killed my father would come after us next. by the 8th grade my mom had finally loosened up a bit and started going on dates. i don't think i have seen her glow so much since my dad passed. she met steve on tinder, and fell head over heels for him. steve moved us to tacoma, washington because of his job. i hated it at first but, i think i'm starting to warm up to it. which is kinda ironic cause it's literally never warm here considering it rains constantly.
