The Experimental Epidemic

A city is quarantined and is tossed into turmoil after bombs from an unknown source are dropped in town square. The quarantine was put in place minutes after the bombs released a thick purple smoke, and was to remain that way until the effects of the smoke were known. Three years later the city has decomposed into broken buildings and empty houses as gangs run amok in the streets. The illness caused by the smoke has no cure and no visible symptoms until three to four days before death.

In the remnants of the once thriving city lies a mute, Mina. She struggled making it a day through high school, but survived three years in hell on Earth. She's been thrown out of countless groups, and left streets to die. She's always dreamed of finding a group she fit in with, a group that wouldn't abandon her. But the plague spares no one. If she finds the perfect group, how much time will she actually have with them? Would it be easier to choose death?

(AN: I swear I'm working on it, I've posted all my prewritten stuff and I often rewrite everything ten times so it's taking a while... Also something bad is coming soon and I really don't want to write it...)
