alysha james is a seventeen year old girl, who is in denial that she struggles with the eating disorder, anorexia nervosa. she can't stay at home, and in-patient programs have never worked, so her family decide to place her in "youth united," a group home for teenagers with mental illness, for 2 months.

here, alysha meets somebody, who helps her find the love in herself and the willpower to recover.
