The Devil's Breath
Little did Susan know, the peace she felt that evening before the dream, would be the last time she would ever feel at ease. Deep in the bowels of the Earth a medieval world exists, covered in perpetual darkness and embroiled in a war between an evil king and a majestic queen. With a voice guiding him, he travels the dark and dangerous paths of the undiscovered mythical world to retrieve the only weapon capable of killing the beast. Then, having returned from the depths of the Earth, the mysterious man seeks the young woman out, and together they enter into a battle to save the world.Complete

Emily lives with a small, ragtag group of survivors, her friends before the outbreak occurred. When one of them falls ill, in dire need of medicine, the group is forced to travel to the hospital across town, where they discover something, or rather someone unexpected. Mark was a normal person before the outbreak, before he was bitten by his own father, before everything went to hell in a handbasket. Now he lives under the hospital with his trusty cat Buckwheat, hiding from the daylight and wondering why him, out of all the infected, has to "live" with the curse of sanity after his demise.
