Sounds like a perfect fantasy world. Some guy is down in the dumps, awakens a powerful ability, gets strong, gets the girl, and everything is happily ever after.
Unfortunately, the real world isn't so happy. Civilians are constantly caught in the crossfire between Heroes and Villains, leaving families heartbroken and children orphaned. 
But everyone is still happy, because they don't know the truth of the world's ugliness.
