Japan faces an old opponent: the imaginary country of Voldop.

Ran Takahashi has developed a fever before this important match, leaving his partner, Captain Yuki Ishikawa, extremely worried for the young bean.

How will they win this match against the unethical Voldop? Yuki Ishikawa and Ran Takahashi find themselves learning how to navigate their feelings and the team in this angst-inducing fanfiction.

An excerpt:
Seeing how Ishikawa was hesitating, Takahashi struck while the iron was hot and landed a small peck on the side of Ishikawa's face. Leaning in for a hug, he whispered to Ishikawa,

"Senpai, please?"

Ishikawa trembled ever so slightly under Takahashi's warm lips. And when he heard the plea, all logic flew out of the window.

"Okay. One set is all you get. I'm taking you out the moment it ends."

The world only saw Yuki Ishikawa as the volleyball star-the talented, stoic, and focused player who dominated the court. Every spike, every block, every point he earned became a headline. Fans adored him, teammates respected him, and his career was on an unstoppable trajectory. But what the world didn't know was the secret that Yuki guarded so closely. Behind his composed exterior, behind the public persona of a professional athlete, there was someone who held his heart-a girl hidden from the world, known only to him. Her name was Hikaru. They met by chance, in a whirlwind of serendipity that neither of them could have predicted. And from the moment they clicked, they became inseparable. But their relationship wasn't for public eyes. Hikaru insisted on keeping it a secret. She didn't want the spotlight, the fame, or the fan frenzy that came with being linked to Yuki. She wanted to love him in quiet moments, away from the cameras and the scrutiny of the world. So, they hid it. Yuki would walk off the court, surrounded by fans and reporters, while Hikaru stood in the background, cheering as any other fan would. She became the ultimate supporter, silently sharing in his victories and comforting him in his defeats. But their secret wasn't just about protecting themselves-it was about protecting their love. In a world where everything was scrutinized, analyzed, and dissected, Hikaru and Yuki found solace in their hidden moments, in the quiet exchanges and stolen glances that no one else could see. Yet, secrets don't stay hidden forever. As the world of fame, fandoms, and expectations began to close in, Yuki knew that sooner or later, their carefully constructed bubble would burst. The question wasn't if, but when. And when it did, would their love be strong enough to withstand the storm? Only time would tell.

'Pain is just weakness leaving the body.' Or so that's what they say at least. Machi Harada is however, skeptical. Her life has been nothing but pain, and yet she doesn't feel any stronger for it. Closed off, she's seen as the "scary fighter chick" by her peers at school, but that's just the way she prefers it. Don't let them in, they'll only to cause more pain anyway. But when a certain vice-captain of the volleyball team takes notice, is his kind-heartedness enough to break down her barriers? Mature language Some mild violence and physical abuse
