For as long as Maeve Adams could remember living had been painful. At least it used to be, until she met Spencer Reid, her father, her dad. Until he decided that she was worth the risk of accepting her into his family. And until Maeve decided that he was worth dying for. 

Now it's all over. Maeve somehow survived, her mother is back in jail and Maeve herself is no longer on probation. Plus, a certain blonde seems to not hate her as much as Maeve had assumed. Things should be good, Maeve should be able to relax now, finally. 

For some reason she can't and neither can Spencer. Maybe because they know that they're not through the worst of it yet. Maybe because they can tell that a storm is on the horizon, strong enough to destroy the fragile peace they built for themselves.
