I watched as he threw it down on the ground, pieces of one of my moms plates going everywhere. "Okay. Now what?" He asked me, a hint of impatience in his voice. I walked up to him so we were old inches apart, our noses almost touching. It would be so easy to just kiss him right now.... "Now say your sorry." I whispered to him, letting a tear slip. I felt his gentle hands wrap around me and pull me in closer. Our foreheads touched as he whispered the faithful words, "I'm sorry." I pulled away from him, making sure I didn't cut myself on the sharp shards of glass. "Did it go back to the way it was before?" I asked him, angry tears rolling freely down my face now. How could he do this to me? I am--was--his mate. He looked at me with a sad expression and then looked down. Strangled, he whispered, "No." "Do you understand now how my heart broke when I found out? Do you get it now?" "Jace, I'm--" "Don't even!" I yelled. I couldn't take this anymore. "Leave!" I screamed, letting my tears fall to the floor. He looked at me with a painful look. I felt myself die inside when he finally did turn and leave. ~*~*~*~*~* Jace didn't know what Damian was in the beginning. She thought he was just a normal boy that went to her school. Then, suddenly, she is whisked away into the world of werewolves and vampires, and the horrible war that goes on between them. Jace is stuck in the middle. Why? Because the Vampire king claims to be Jace is his, while Damian claims that she is his mate. Realizing what kind of position she is in, she decides to go with Damian. He's cuter, nicer, and won't ever hurt her... right?

"Let them go, Dante." I whip my head to see a small boy standing the clearing with blonde hair and a green cloak hanging from shoulders. He isn't very tall however he holds his stance well. He doesn't seem to be more than Cassandra's age. Maybe 12 at most. I abruptly turn my head back hearing the man holding a sword to my throat chuckling with a sinister grin. "Oh, poor boy, what are you go to do about it?" The yellow teeth gleam as he begins stalking towards the boy who does not look the least bit fazed. I look around at the other men who are following the leader. I pull Cassandra tighter to my back as I take small steps back. I keep my eye trained on the men but also fear for the naive boy. "Do you really want to test me Dante?" He asks raising a single eyebrow. For a minute the men stop their movements. I see their hesitation for fear... Fear of what? I take the moment to stick Cassandra behind a nearby tree. She crouches down while I pull my sword out from its place. "How do you know my name?" The scoundrel raises his sword challenging towards the boy before taking a final step towards him. Then the unexpected happens. The young boy chuckles so darkly. It sounded almost... demonic. All the men instinctively raise their swords. "Oh Dante, I didn't know your name... but you know someone dear to me." "Spit it out boy!" The once grinning man is now looking around frantically. I continue my eyes scanning the small boy. He looks directly me and gives me a small nod before saying one word that caused all hell to breaks loose. "Artemis." Artemis is not an ordinary girl. She grew up in the wilderness after being shunned due to unique abilities and her different physical attributes. Blessed with an ability that scared others, she roams the wild with only her guarded one. That is until she stumbles into a situation that brings her in front of a prince.

The blade of my hidden knife stops just a few centimetres from the prince's warm skin of his neck. He lays there, eyes closed and rhythmic breathing. His defined jaw relaxed and his teeth barely showing behind his pink lips. I hear voices coming from the hallway. I glance up at the door then back to the sleeping Prince. The door handle rattles, the guards yell from behind the wall. I bite my lip, balancing the blade just on the skin of the prince's neck. The door bursts open just as I slip out of the bedroom window into the cool midnight, no evidence of my attempt to assassinate the prince. ~~~~~~~~~~ Trained Assassin, skilled in over 4 martial arts, specialised in weaponry and one on one combat... I was walking to the grocery store when I thought some one was following me I turned around and saw no one there so I brushed it off by the way my name is Lara and I was being followed by someone my whole life! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I WAS about to turn the corner when someone grabbed me and used their hands to cover mt mouth. I struggled and managed to push the person off and started sprinting down the street, yelling 'HELP'. I turned back to get a glance at the man who attacked me. I saw his face and it was Der!!! "What the hell Derek!"I shouted " I was scared shit-less that it was a kidnapper or murderer or gang member" It was NYC, who knew what happens at night and what kind of dangerous people are out there. "Shh"he said and covered my mouth. I bit his hand and he removed his hand from my mouth. "Ah, what was that for?" he yelled, his eyes getting darker as he pouted and rubbed his hand. "I don't know what you're up to but you're so being dumped"I told him. He was acting crazy and it was driving me insane because he wasn't telling me anything. He growled and ran towards him with his hands out wide to try and grab me, but I turned and kicked him in the leg as he fell to the ground. "Ha take that I took karate" I said proudly as he was groaning. I was a black belt student. I started sprinting when I turned the corner I saw Derek again with his eyes as dark as the night sky. What happened to his blue eyes?! "But you w-we-were- right there and n now you're here what? and w what happened to your eyes?"I kept stuttering. He seemed so brooding and dangerous and he didn't seem like the Der I knew and loved. Before I knew it, darkness succumbed me.
