Liam Jeffords, a soon-to-be-sophomore from San Francisco, has found a way into a dream realm. In his search he comes across reasoning for many different sleep activities. Sleep walking, nightmares, insomnia. He returns to the real world every morning and does his studying to find an explanation to this mysterious world he has stumbled across. Not finding a response he finds himself back into the realm later each night and decides to free the dreams from the grasps of the beasts of tiredness. Liam does this in hopes of finding his own dreams on the shelves of insomnia. By the end of his night working to return the dreams to their people he doesn't find his but is approached by a shape who guides him off into the distance. The shape halts at a far away palace of slumber and offers Liam his freedom from insomnia. He does however have to make a choice. He could take his dream and leave, never being able to return or he could stay and return as he pleases with an added bonus of rest. Which will Liam choose? Protect the dreams of others or get to experience his own.
