As a cat-shapeshifter, Ren's life has never been easy.

All he knows is that the world sees him as a monster. A demon that shouldn't be given love.

But when a seemingly good act gets him arrested and sent on probation in Tokyo, Ren Akuryo decides that what seemed like bad luck might be his one chance to leave everything behind. To start over.

A simple goal is set: Trust no one, keep the secret, and then live a new life. All as a normal human being.

But as friendships form left and right, secrets of the past get revealed, and fears demand to be faced, all on top of a conspiracy threatening the entirety of Japan, there's only one thing that's clear:

Ren wanted life to get easier in Tokyo, but it seems that fate's decided it won't be that simple.

This is my first ever fanfic, so it probably won't be the best. I'm working through some stuff and wanted to write and here we are. Having said that, I hope you enjoy it anyway (or at least have a nice day regardless). I feel like it gets better as it goes soooo idk

My Key Item (Joker X Futaba) Persona 5 Royal by Rydernort

After months of getting to know and love Futaba Sakura, knowing that she is the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with, it's all ripped away by one man. Takuto Maruki has decided that people cannot be allowed to think for themselves, and that they should never have to feel pain, well, unless you interfere with his plan. After being thoroughly trounced by the Phantom Thieves, Maruki makes one last ditch attempt to break the theives, and kills Futaba. In his blind rage, Akira Kurusu, otherwise known as Joker takes matters into his own hands, and stops the mad God in his tracks. Time reverts to its original self, with Akechi dead and gone and Maruki and Futaba alive and well, and Akira in Juvinile Detention. After being freed from prison, he finds out that something went wrong when the timeline was restored. Futaba knows him not as her lover, but merely as his friend. Now Akira must find a way to cope with this new life in Hometown, while trying to juggle the return of the Metaverse, and Futaba tries to find her way through the complex feelings she has for Joker, but can't quite explain, as well as the dreams that almost feel like memories. Will she push through and recover her memories and her love? Or will she and Akira both fade into the Mementos of what they have lost. I took a couple liberties with events and the Timeline, but overall, I stayed fairly close to the original game's story. This is a passion project that sprung to mind while driving, and now I'm hyperfixated... Welp, time to churn out a book. ENJOY READING IT!! Ren's return from juvenile hall finally gave the Thieves the chance they had to talk about why Mementos still exists, despite Yaldabaoth's fall. When they return to investigate, Ren is acting more and more brash and reckless, and Makoto worries it may have something to do with Arsene and Satanael's odd lack of a 3rd tier evolution. Or they thought it was a lack. When the Reaper ambushes them, it turns out that it was about to meet its match. And it was as dangerous as it was suave. It's name? Raoul. - Vanilla P5, with the 3rd Tier Personas from Royal. Slight canon divergence, because the Metaverse stays around after Yaldabaoth's fall, with mention of other palaces as well, and Joker wields twin knives, not just one. Gameplay divergence because the Reaper is an ACTUAL THREAT (like in Striker's, god the Reaper is tough in Striker's) Shumako, Other changes to the lore, like Haru works with Ren in Leblanc, Sojiro adopted Ren, Persona's can communicate with their User's in the real world, and a few other little tweaks and stuff. (OC x Ren Amamiya) For as long she can remember, she lost her parents at a very young age and was raised and adopted by a Chinese-English speaking family that resides in Yongen Jaya along with her stepsister. She had learned how to speak Chinese and has managed really well in Kosei High thanks to her family until she was told that she had to transfer out of Kosei due to unknown reasons. Everyone around her in her current school were wary of her and she almost felt she didn't fit in until she met someone. Context: This is a rewritten fanfiction that was made back in 2019/2020(?). I wanted to restart because I didn't like how the story was going. This would include a lot of special things including spoilers and custom plots which is 100% original. As for the title, it would later be told in the story about the 'other live'. This story begins around the start of Kaneshiro arc, around June 21st.
