"Why don't YOU kiss me?" You responded, not wanting to give into his suggestion. 
"Did you forget what it said in the file?" 
You furrowed your eyebrows, there was a file? If there was you hadn't gotten it. 
"Right." He sighed, "You stormed out and lost it." 
      Barnaby leaned on the table, to others it seemed as though he was engaged in your appearance, trying subtly to get closer to you. "You're the shy one in the relationship, it would be more of an impact if you kissed me." 
      
      You sucked your teeth and grabbed him by the collar roughly, your body trembling as you searched for the courage to look up. 
      "(Y/n)." 
     Your face burned with embarrassment and your heart fluttered. There were so many people watching and counting on this to be real. So many people who'd continue to watch until this dumb contract ran out. 
     "Sorry." You felt your arms buckling from the weight applied to your elbows. 
"I want to kiss you but it's just...everyone's watching so closely and I-" 
      "(Y/n) look up at me." 
     You lifted your head and stared at his green eyes. The only thing on his face you didn't want to mess up. 
       "We can wait if that's what you nee-"
    You smashed your lips against his and hated it. Hated how everyone watched and filmed like this was live television. You hated the way his hand made its way to your cheek and caressed it. "Okay, you know what? You're such a jackass and I never should have kissed you," I say. Colton stands up. His green eyes are just as angry as mine are. "Then why did you?" he asks. "I don't know!" I yell. "Why did you kiss me back?" "Hey, you kissed me," Colton says. "We already established that! God! It's like talking to a wall. Whatever I say just fucking bounces right off of you!" I yell. "Do you have any idea how maddening you are?" Colton looks at me. "You don't think you're infuriating?" Colton asks. I narrow my eyes. He starts to walk towards the door. I grab the M&M's and chuck them at Colton. He whips around, his eyes blazing green. "Where the fuck are you going? We're talking!" I yell, crossing my arms. He rubs the back of his neck where the M&M's hit him. "You wanna talk? Fine. Let's talk," Colton says. "You're obviously messed up from all of the shit your mom did." "Maybe I am! It's not your fucking business!" I pause. "Why do you even care? You're just some manwhore, right? A fuckboy?" Colton laughs dryly. "Is that what you think I am?" he asks. He takes a step closer to me. I'm two seconds away from kissing him again. Andy Reed-Collins has never fit in. With both of her parents being doctors, she's grown up in the hospital and has more friends there than she does at her high school. She's made it through most of her Senior year when she meets Colton Samson. Colton's bad for for her in every way. He's a nortorious manwhore who uses girls. "I think I'm gay." I say, leaving out the part about my... exposing dream about him last night. I watched his expression, waiting for some sign that he was angry. He asks, hesitating on the crackers and pushing them away. "I just thought-it's just- well... you just always seem so pissed when someone mentions the word gay." I spit out words, scared for his reaction. He sighs, "That doesn't fucking mean I hate gays. Normally when I do that it's because someone's using the word 'gay' to hate on them, it just pisses me off, you know?" He asks, bringing the crackers back into his lap and biting into them. "Plus-" He adds on, "You're my best friend, if anything, you being gay is a blessing. I'll always support you." He says, glancing at me through the side of his eyes. I look away, towards the door to hide the crimson blush that I feel spread over my face. "Thanks." I all but squeak out. And that's the day I realized, I have a faint crush on my best friend. <><><><><< THIS BOOK IS BEING *MAJORLY* EDITED. Always thought it was fascinating how when he runs you can't see it. Being a vampire must be...fascinating. Yet he makes it out to be hell. I can't understand that kind of complicity of being a vampire and the issues. I get it, they drink blood. Though there's multiple things beside humans that offer blood! He acts like it's so horrific. I would love to know what it felt like for a day. Just one day...
