Mai Usagi wants to be a vocaloid artist and she is only 14. She dedicates her life to pursuing her longly wanted dream. People have always assumed that she is a happy little girl who has had a dream to make music but she has always seemed off. In reality she cries herself to sleep almost every night and sometimes spends so long crying she doesn't get any sleep. She overthinks, causing her to think that her friends are ghosting her, which may or may not be the truth. She is suicidal and wants to end her life because she believes that her life will never get any better. You may think that someone's life couldn't get any worse, but her mother died when she was nine and currently lives with her abusive father. Will Mai stay and reach her goal of being a vocaloid creator, or will her life be taken too soon for her to even create it's model? Read Trapped In Your Shadow to find all your answers to these questions, and many more.
